Requesting FD Boat & Training Advice

Our volunteer fire department is preparing to train and equip for water rescue emergencies. Our district has no swiftwater, so our capabilities will be limited to lake and pond rescues only, including under ice conditions.
Our initial requirement is for a 6-8 person (including victims) inflatable which provides compact storage and rapid deployment. Propulsion will be with paddles.
We are also trying to determine training requirements. To date NFPA 1670 and 1006 appear applicable, but we haven't researched this fully.
I would greatly appreciate member recommendations on suitable boats and training classes to help our department meet our emerging operational water resucue requirement. Any other comments/suggestions on related topics and lessons learned are also welcomed.

I have had the same problem with generatring interest in Rescue 8 non passive throw flotation devices for ice rescue an swift water.
