2007 Series of Professional Aquatics Safety Seminars
Lifesaving Resources announces its 2007 series of Professional Aquatics Safety Seminars (PASS). This comprehensive and intensive 8-hour classroom-formatted training program is specifically designed for Aquatic and Recreation Professionals; Lifeguard Instructors and Supervisors; Aquatic Facility Managers and Operators; and Lifeguard personnel. The focus of this seminar is on the prevention, recognition, and management of drowning and aquatic injuries. The seminar was developed by and is conducted by Gerald Dworkin, a professional Aquatics Safety and Water Rescue Consultant for Lifesaving Resources (lifesaving.com) and is presented using computer-generated slides, along with numerous video segments of actual incidents or news stories about those incidents.
Dworkin is a noted educator and author, and regularly consults as a Forensics Expert in drowning and aquatic injury litigation. Numerous case studies are included within the PASS curriculum.
The 8-hour seminar includes the following instructional units:
